The DANUBE WED-18 S ET2 is a heavy-duty washing machine designed for commercial laundries. It features steam heating to quickly raise temperatures and penetrate fabrics, improving efficiency and stain removal. The machine connects to an existing steam supply, reducing energy consumption compared to traditional heating methods.

With an 18 kg capacity, it accommodates large textile loads through a wide aluminium door. Operators can choose from over twenty preset programmes or create custom cycles using the 7-inch touch screen. The system automatically adjusts water, detergent, and steam levels based on load size, ensuring optimal performance without waste.

The drum spins at high speed, extracting moisture with a G-force of 500 to shorten drying times. Three water inlets enable faster filling and rinsing. The EASY TOUCH 2 control system includes a USB port for importing or exporting programmes and supports remote monitoring via DANUBE Online IoT for diagnostics and real-time management.

Eight control signals for automatic detergent dosing can be expanded to fourteen. The display provides video instructions in multiple languages for staff guidance. The machine is built with an AISI 304 stainless steel drum and casing for corrosion resistance in humid environments. The front panel opens fully for easy maintenance access, and the soft-mount design reduces vibration.

A Water Saving function offers three adjustable levels, with the standard programme using less than 8 litres of water per kilogram of linen. The machine operates on a 230 V single-phase supply, switchable to three-phase configurations. Its dimensions allow it to fit through standard doorways, though its weight requires a reinforced floor.

Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the touch screen with a damp cloth and remove lint from the drum and door seal. The stainless steel surfaces resist staining, and steam heating reduces scale build-up. Variants with electric or hot-water heating are available, but this model is equipped for steam. It suits professional laundry setups in hotels, restaurants, and care facilities.
