Slicer designed for cutting fresh meat.
Suitable for butchers and meat processing industries.
Vertical blade D = 350 mm.
A motor-driven circular blade slices fresh meat into even portions without crushing fibres or tearing edges. The blade spins at a steady speed, while the carriage moves the meat across the cutting edge; the operator sets the slice thickness with a graduated knob, so each pass delivers identical cuts for portion control and presentation.
To begin slicing, the operator secures the meat on the tray and arm, locks the safety guard in place, and selects the desired thickness. The belt-driven transmission starts the blade smoothly, reducing vibration and noise. As the carriage glides forward, the meat meets the spinning blade; the operator guides the carriage back and forth until the portion is complete. A fixed sharpener mounted beside the blade allows quick touch-ups between uses without removing the blade or using separate tools.
The chassis is built from anodised aluminium, chosen for corrosion resistance and hygiene. A removable blade guard and fixed protection ring shield the operator during slicing, while a fence-plate safety lock prevents accidental engagement when the guard is open. The entire unit stands on a worktop footprint of 640 by 780 millimetres and weighs 39 kilograms, making it stable yet movable with a trolley.
A graduated knob on the front panel adjusts slice thickness from paper-thin to several millimetres, accommodating everything from charcuterie platters to sandwich portions. The belt drive system runs at 210 revolutions per minute, balancing cutting speed with quiet operation. The slicer accepts both single-phase 230 volt and three-phase 400 volt supplies, fitting standard British commercial circuits.
Daily cleaning follows from the construction: the blade guard and tray lift off for washing, the anodised surfaces wipe clean with a damp cloth, and the fixed sharpener requires no disassembly. The 350 millimetre blade diameter handles large joints and whole muscles without repositioning.
The AFV350C is the CE-compliant model, including the fixed blade protection ring and fence-plate safety lock required for professional use in the United Kingdom.
In the SAVIOLI catalogue, the AFV350C sits in the slicers section for fresh meat, alongside gravity-feed and automatic models.
