A strong support surface for manual meat processing.
Suitable for butchers and meat industries.
A butcher block provides a solid, hygienic cutting surface that withstands the daily demands of a professional kitchen. The thick polyethylene top absorbs the impact of knives without dulling blades, while its non-porous surface resists stains and bacteria, making it easier to maintain food-safe standards. Unlike wooden blocks, polyethylene does not warp or crack under constant use, ensuring a flat, stable work area for portioning, chopping and trimming.
The operator places the block on the worktop or island, loads ingredients onto the surface, and works directly on the polyethylene. After use, the top can be wiped clean with sanitiser or washed with hot water and detergent. The seamless construction leaves no crevices for food particles to lodge, reducing cleaning time and cross-contamination risk.
The 80 mm thick white polyethylene top is mounted on a tubular base of AISI 304 stainless steel, fully welded and finished with ceramic micro shot peening. This treatment creates a smooth, corrosion-resistant surface that withstands the moisture and cleaning chemicals of a commercial kitchen. The welded joints eliminate gaps where dirt could collect, and the steel frame raises the block to a comfortable working height of 900 mm, reducing strain during long service.
The footprint of 700 x 500 mm fits standard worktop depths and allows the block to be positioned against a wall or island without overhang. The weight of the unit keeps it stable during vigorous cutting, while the tubular legs leave clearance for mops and trolleys underneath. No assembly is required; the block arrives ready to place and use.
Cleaning follows from the materials: the polyethylene top is scrubbed with a non-abrasive pad and sanitiser, while the stainless steel base is wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The ceramic peened finish resists fingerprints and water spots, keeping the base looking clean between deeper cleans.
The block is catalogued under professional work surfaces and food preparation equipment.
