Indispensable to homogenize, mince, cut and mix many foodstuffs and vegetables.
Suitable for hotels/restaurants’ kitchens, supermarkets and refectories.
A cutter reduces solid ingredients to uniform pieces, pastes or emulsions by spinning a sharp blade at high speed inside a sealed tank. The motor drives the blade through a direct shaft, transferring power without belts or gears that could slip or wear. As the blade rotates, it slices, chops or whips the food against the tank walls, breaking it down evenly. The side-by-side motor and tank layout keeps the motor's heat away from the food, so temperature-sensitive mixtures stay cool and stable during processing.
To use the CT9, the operator lifts the lid, loads the tank with the ingredients, and closes the lid to engage the safety microswitch. The speed control is set between 1500 and 2800 rpm, depending on whether the task is gentle mixing or rapid chopping. Once the motor is started, the blade spins continuously until the operator stops it or the lid is opened. After processing, the lid is lifted, and the food is removed with the included spatula, leaving the tank ready for the next batch.
The CT9 is built with a stainless steel structure that resists corrosion and stands up to daily cleaning. A smooth blade is supplied for general cutting, mincing and homogenising. The lid's safety microswitch cuts power to the motor if the lid is opened during operation, preventing accidental contact with the spinning blade. A sharpening plate is included to maintain the blade's edge, and the spatula helps scrape the tank clean without damaging the surface.
The 0.35 kW motor draws a modest load on a standard 230 V single-phase circuit, making it suitable for most professional kitchens without requiring a dedicated power supply. The 9 L volume allows batches large enough for service but small enough to keep the unit compact on the worktop. At 23 kg, the cutter is light enough to move with two hands yet stable during operation. The 470 x 330 x 440 mm footprint fits neatly between other appliances or under wall cupboards.
Cleaning is straightforward: the tank and blade are removed, washed in warm water with mild detergent, and dried before reassembly. The sharpening plate is used periodically to restore the blade's edge, and the spatula helps remove residue from the tank's corners. The stainless steel surfaces wipe clean with a damp cloth, and the safety switch requires no maintenance beyond checking that the lid closes securely.
Three optional blades extend the CT9's capabilities. A toothed blade cuts solid ingredients like chocolate or dried fruit without crushing them. A perforated blade emulsifies and whips cream or eggs into smooth mixtures. A dough blade mixes and kneads dough without overheating it. A pesto blade is also available for finely chopping herbs and nuts into pastes.
The CT9 is categorised under professional cutters and food processors in the SAVIOLI range.
