Gas hobs in stainless steel or enamelled steel. The price may vary depending on the selected accessories.
A gas hob blending robust traditional design with exacting flame management for professional use. Mains gas flows through brass burners, ignited by an integrated electric spark when the knob is turned. The flame adjusts smoothly from a gentle simmer to full intensity for quick boiling or searing. A safety valve stops gas flow if the flame goes out, avoiding unburned gas build-up.
Operation is simple: place a pan on the cast iron grid, turn the knob to light the burner, and set the flame as needed. The hob features two small burners for precise tasks, a large burner for everyday cooking, and a double crown burner for high-heat stir-frying or rapid boiling. Each burner's output aligns with its size, ensuring consistent heat across the pan.
The hob's structure relies on durable cast iron grids that hold heavy pans without bending. Brass burner caps, selected for heat conductivity and corrosion resistance, are coated with a non-stick nanotechnological finish to prevent food from sticking. The hob fits into a worktop cut-out of 55.5 x 47.5 cm, with a slight overhang for sealing.
Individual knobs control each burner, offering infinite flame adjustment. The electric ignition removes the need for a separate lighter, and the safety valve works automatically without user input.
Power ratings show the maximum gas each burner can use. A 4.3 kW burner needs a gas line that can supply that rate, while smaller burners demand less. The 580 x 500 mm dimensions define the hob's footprint for kitchen planning.
Cleaning is straightforward due to the materials. Cast iron grids lift off for scrubbing, and brass burner caps with their non-stick coating wipe clean easily. The safety valve and ignition system have no parts for user maintenance, only requiring burner ports to stay clear of debris.
