Gas hobs in stainless steel flat feame.
A gas hob heats pots and pans directly with an open flame, giving instant control over cooking temperature. The flame transfers heat through the metal base of the pan, allowing rapid adjustments for searing, simmering or boiling. Because the heat source is visible and adjustable, chefs can respond to changes in the food without waiting for a surface to warm or cool. The hob's burners are sized for different tasks: larger flames for stockpots and woks, smaller ones for delicate sauces or keeping plates warm.
The operator places a pan on the cast iron supports, selects the burner size and turns the control knob. An electric spark ignites the gas, and the flame can be set anywhere between a gentle simmer and a rolling boil. A safety valve cuts the gas supply if the flame goes out, preventing unburned gas from escaping. The hob remains lit until the knob is turned off, at which point the flame extinguishes and the burner cools.
The hob is built with sturdy cast iron pan supports that hold heavy pots steady. Brass burner caps conduct heat evenly and are treated with a non-stick nanotechnological coating to resist food spills and grease. The control knobs adjust the flame infinitely, allowing precise temperature control for each burner independently.
The power ratings of 4.5 kW, 3 kW and 1.8 kW indicate the maximum gas load each burner can draw, which determines the size of the gas supply line needed in the kitchen. The 1180 mm width and 532 mm depth set the worktop space the hob occupies, fitting into standard commercial kitchen runs.
Cleaning involves lifting off the pan supports and burner caps to wipe the hob surface. The non-stick coating on the brass caps reduces residue build-up, and the cast iron supports can be washed separately. The safety valve and ignition system require no regular maintenance beyond keeping the burner ports clear of debris.
The hob is supplied in a single configuration with four burners: two dual burners of 120 mm diameter, two large burners of 90 mm and two small burners of 60 mm, each with its own control knob.
